Paul Trollope says his players will soon come under real pressure unless results start improving.

The first team coach watched his team throw away yet another advantage at the weekend to go down 3-2 at Gillingham.

The defeat leaves Rovers still languishing at the wrong end of League One, with a crunch clash with AFC Bournemouth coming up on Saturday.

"Gillingham is a tough place to go, they have a good home record, but we went there and set ourselves out to win," Paul told bristolrovers.co.uk, "We did the right things for 90 per cent of the game, and our game plan was working.

"But then the same old problems that have haunted us before came back, and we lost the game. We were in a strong position, and I think that's something like the sixth time this season that we've thrown away a lead.

"We've got to stop that because it's a lot of points we've lost - if we had won or drawn those matches then we'd be sitting in a very comfortable position right now.

"At any level you need to concentrate for 90 minutes, and we didn't do that against Gillingham, just like we didn't do against Southend or Leyton Orient. Our strategy in matches is right, but you have to carry it out right the way to the end.

"You have to follow instructions and stay in your shape and not run about out of position too much. You need to be in the right holes at the right time so that when the ball comes forward you are ready for it.

"There's a bit of pressure on us now, it's something the lads have responded to well in the past, and they'll need to do it again. We've have got to work hard this week to make sure we're ready for the weekend and that we get the right result on Saturday.

"Bournemouth play goof football and by all accounts it's turning into a big game. It will be tough, and it's going to be crucial that we stay consistent and concentrated for a full 90 minutes."
