TROLLS TO GIVE YOUTH A CHANCE
Paul Trollope has hinted that if results go well for Rovers this weekend, the final few games of the season could see one or two younger players given a first team chance.
The Pirates will have five more fixtures to go after the clash with AFC Bournemouth tomorrow, and they could be largely irrelevant in terms of results if League One safety is virtually secured over the weekend.
2007/08 has already seen the emergence of Chris Lines as a first team regular, and Paul says there are other members of the squad who could be given a chance to follow his lead.
"We've come to the stage of the season when we're trying to shape bits and pieces for next year," Paul told bristolrovers.co.uk, "We're doing that in terms of who the matchday 16 are, who the first 11 are, and a few players are going to be given a chance.
"Chris Lines has come in and taken the opportunity presented to him, and Josh Klein-Davies has started a few games and is looking decent. Others are pushing for a place, and we saw that especially around Christmas time when the likes of Charlie Reece and Tom Parrinello played a part.
"It will be nice to be able to use these games to give some of the younger players a chance, but they have to deserve it. If we feel one or two merit the chance to play between now and the end of the season, and the situation is right for that, then we will look to feed them in."
