Andy Williams says Rovers should be looking for more than just survival over the remainder of the 2007/08 season.

The striker believes the team should be aiming for a mid-table position, regardless of when League One survival is assured.

Rovers travel to AFC Bournemouth this weekend, and then face a midweek clash with Walsall next Tuesday.

"I don't think we should be looking to just settle for surviving, I think our season has been better than that," Andy told bristolrovers.co.uk, "It would be nice to get a few more wins, and we're still looking for a mid-table position.

"We've got games in hand and if we can win them then it's possible we could end the season a fair bit higher than we are now. It's vital that we consolidate in this division as best we can, and strive for more than just staying up.

"There are still 18 points to play for, plus we'd like to finish higher than the likes of Yeovil, Swindon and Cheltenham.

"So the season isn't over for us, and if we do manage to climb up to mid-table then I think combined with the FA Cup run we had, it won't have been a bad season for our first year in the division."
