Preparations are underway for the 2008 Bristol Rovers Fun Day, which takes place this weekend at the Memorial Stadium.

The annual event always attracts thousands of Gasheads, and this year is expected to be no different.

Gates at the stadium open from midday, and will remain open until around 4:00pm.

The weather outlook for the day is pretty good, with spells of sunshine forecast and only a slight risk of an odd shower.

As ever, Paul Trollope will be on hand to meet and mix with fans, along with a number of directors and the entire first team squad.

Other attractions include a fairground in the car park, a bar-be-que, displays from Mercedes Benz and the Bristol Car Supermarket, police dogs and horses and a chance to look round the executive boxes and the stadium changing rooms.

The day will also be the first chance for fans without web access to purchase the new 2008/09 home kit, and the last chance to snap up an early bird season ticket.

There will also be a question and answer session at around 2:15pm, with Paul Trollope heading a panel from the club responding to questions from fans.
