DUFFY STILL FEELING SHORT
Darryl Duffy says he still feels short of 100 per cent match fitness, despite the season now being ten games old.
The former Swansea City striker has been involved in every game so far this campaign, although has only started and finished one full match.
Darryl admits he is slowly getting fitter and fitter, but having missed part of pre-season, it's taking him a little longer than he would have liked.
"I don't feel completely match fit if I'm perfectly honest," Darryl told bristolrovers.co.uk, "I still feel a bit off, and I think I need a few more 90 minutes under my belt before I'm completely there.
"I don't think I've played 90 minutes since the Carlisle game on the opening day, and there's only so much you can do in training to get your match fitness levels up.
"Hopefully over the next few weeks I'll get a few more games to build it up a bit so as I am as close to 100 per cent match fit as I can be."
Although scoring goals hasn't been a problem for Rovers, the team have only managed to record one victory in all league and cup games played so far.
"We don't see it as a massive problem, and we're not down on each other," said Darryl, "We know there are good players here, and we see it more of a temporary problem that we'll come through.
"Confidence hasn't really been affected, and the amount of goals we score we feel we should be up at the other end of the table.
"If you look at the league table and compare our goals scored to other teams around us it's obvious what the problem is.
"If we can keep them out then I think it won't be long before we move away from the bottom and up towards the top."
