LOTS OF INTEREST AT FRESHERS FAIR
The Bristol Rovers stall attracted a lot of attention at the University of the West of England's Freshers Fair yesterday.
Students queued up to take part in the penalty shoot out competition and win themselves a pair of tickets to a Rovers match.
Competitors had three strikes at an inflatable goal - similar to those used on Soccer AM - with four different holes. Each hole was worth a certain amount of points, and the first 25 to score more than 60 points walked away with a pair of tickets.
There was a great deal of interest in the mini season ticket offer, which will allow students to watch 6 set games at the Memorial Stadium for just £30.
A number of students purchased their tickets on the day, with many more leaving their details in order to buy one over the next week.
It was clear that there are a lot of students looking to watch local football while they are away at University, and the club feel it is important to attract as many new supporters as possible to the Memorial Stadium.
Club representatives were also on hand to answer questions, show the new stadium plans and give away a range of freebies, including programmes, posters and banners.
