MILES BETTER FOR GASHEADS
Gasheads will spend over 550 miles and nine hours less on the road when travelling to Rovers away games in 2007/08.
The 23 other sides in League One are typically geographically closer to the West Country than last season's League Two teams, with every opposition club on average 12 miles nearer to Bristol.
Rovers supporters can look forward to playing six teams within 100 miles of the Memorial Stadium, compared to just three last season, and there will be three more clubs within three hours' driving distance.
In 2006/07, the total number of miles travelled in return trips for away fans was 7,008.4, an average of 308.2 miles per game.
In 2007/8, the total number of miles travelled in all away league fixtures will be 6,537.4 an average of 284.2 miles per game.
In both campaigns, the shortest journey (Swindon Town, 39.7 miles away) and the longest journey (Hartlepool United, 276.6 miles away) will remain unchanged.
The fastest journey in the coming season will be Brighton & Hove Albion which should produce an average travelling speed of 58.7mph, while the slowest will be Yeovil Town which is set to see Gasheads travelling at around 35mph.
Last season Darlington was the fastest at 58.5mph with Hereford United the slowest at 39.8mph.

For the record, Cheltenham Town is 40.2 miles away, resulting in a round trip of 80.4 miles. The journey should take an hour when driving within the speed limit, with an average speed of just over 40mph.
