Bristol Rovers have teamed up with the Evening Post to find a name for our new mascot.

Captain Gas is going off a swashbuckling adventure around the Caribbean and is sending his cousin over to take his place at the Memorial Stadium.

The new mascot, who is currently on a boat on his way to Bristol, has yet to be given a name, and we are turning to our supporters to help find a catchy moniker.

It is hoped the name will have a connection to the club or evoke memories of Rovers' history.

Our new Pirate will be introduced to fans before the Walsall game on September 13th, with the new name being announced in the Evening Post the previous day.

The person who suggests the winning name, will be treated to a VIP day out at a game of their choice, subject to availability.
