PHENOMENAL SALES FOR CUP REPLAY
Rovers are reporting a phenomenal day of ticket sales for next week's FA Cup replay against Fulham.
Over 6,000 tickets have already been sold for the clash, mostly to season ticket holders, since the game went on sale early on Monday afternoon.
The figures mean that already over the half of the Memorial Stadium is now sold out, with all remaining seats and terrace places likely to be snapped up in the next two or three days.
There were lengthy queues at Pirate Leisure at the Memorial Stadium and the Supporters Club shop in Kingswood throughout the day, as fans wasted no time in securing their place at the match.
And phone lines were jammed from before 9:00am until after 5:00pm as supporters who couldn't make the journey to Bristol clambered to book their tickets over the phone.
Online sales also reflected the trend, as 500 tickets were sold online within an hour after going on sale at 9:00pm.
All season ticket holders have had their seats or terrace places automatically reserved until 5:00pm on Wednesday, after which unclaimed tickets will be released for general sale.
The club will continue to provide fans with regular sales updates for the game, but it must be stressed that the fixture will almost certainly sell out and that anyone who doesn't act promptly will be left disappointed.
As a result of yesterday's and today's sales, the number of tickets made available online this evening was cut from just under 1,000 to just under 500.
No tickets will be made available online on Wednesday evening.
And any non-season ticket telephone callers phoning the club on Wednesday will not have their orders processed until Thursday, and all such orders will be subject to remaining availability.
After Wednesday and Thursday's trade, an assessment will be made on any remaining tickets and, subject to enough availability, these will be made available online from Thursday evening.
The game takes place next Tuesday, 15th January, with a 7:45pm kick-off.
